KS3 Tutor

We are seeking a KS3 tutor to support a Year 9 student who is currently re-engaging with education following an extended period out of school.

Student Profile:

• Year 9 student
• Diagnosed with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Has been out of education for approximately one year
• Currently working below age-related expectations due to significant gaps in learning
• Requires support in English and Maths

Tutor Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months'' experience working within education, childcare, or a related setting
• Experience supporting children and young people with additional needs, including ADHD and ASD
• Ability to deliver a trauma-informed approach to learning
• Confident in conducting baseline assessments to identify existing skills and gaps in knowledge
• Able to develop and implement personalised learning programmes to support academic progress

Provision Details:

• Up to 15 hours per week
• Initial sessions should be relationship-focused, prioritising trust, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
• Academic tuition should be introduced at a pace appropriate to the student, following the successful establishment of a positive working relationship

We are looking for a patient, nurturing, and adaptable tutor who can support the student to rebuild confidence in learning and make sustained progress towards academic and personal outcomes.
