Role Overview
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen team in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen, supporting chefs and helping us deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
- Assist with basic food preparation as directed by the chefs
- Ensure all kitchen areas meet hygiene, health, and safety standards
- Dispose of waste and recycling in line with hotel procedures
- Receive and store deliveries correctly, ensuring stock is rotated where required
- Keep floors, work surfaces, and storage areas clean and hazard-free
- Support the kitchen brigade during busy service periods
- Follow all food safety, HACCP, and cleaning procedures
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is beneficial but not essential
- Strong work ethic and willingness to support the wider kitchen team
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and busy periods
