Kitchen Assistant - Wingate Area

Location: Wingate Area
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Duration: Ongoing assignment covering sickness and holiday absence
Pay: -12.71 per hour, paid weekly

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to work within a school in the Wingate area. This is an ongoing role providing cover for sickness, annual leave, and other staff absences.

This position would suit a reliable and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.

Key Duties:

• Assisting with the preparation of food and drinks
• Serving meals to pupils and staff
• Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Cleaning kitchen and dining areas
• Supporting the catering team with day-to-day kitchen duties
• Adhering to food hygiene, health & safety, and school policies at all times

Requirements:

• Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate or be willing to obtain one
• Must be willing to complete all relevant training courses, including food hygiene and safeguarding training
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
