Due to continued investment in technology and information security, they are looking to recruit a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to support the protection of their systems, networks, and sensitive financial data.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring cyber security professional to gain hands-on experience within a highly regulated industry, working alongside experienced IT and security specialists.

Role Overview

The Junior Cyber Security Analyst will assist with monitoring, identifying, and responding to potential security threats while helping to ensure the business maintains a strong cyber security posture. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of cyber security tools, processes, and technologies while developing their knowledge within the financial sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts and events using cyber security monitoring tools.
  • Assist in identifying, investigating, and escalating potential security incidents.
  • Support vulnerability assessments and security testing activities.
  • Help maintain cyber security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Assist with user access reviews and identity management processes.
  • Support the implementation of security controls across systems and networks.
  • Monitor endpoint protection and anti-malware solutions.
  • Contribute to cyber security awareness initiatives across the organisation.
  • Assist with security audits and compliance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and security activities.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity processes where required.
  • Keep up to date with emerging cyber threats and industry best practices.
