Joiner (Multi Skilled)

Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Carpenter to join a leading organisation within the social housing sector, carrying out responsive repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works across occupied and void properties throughout the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled carpenter looking for long-term work with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.The role will involve a combination of carpentry repairs, fire door works and general multi-trade maintenance duties within residential properties. Key Responsibilities Carrying out a wide range of carpentry repairs and maintenance works. Fire door maintenance, upgrades and remedial works. Repairs and replacements to doors, frames, skirting, architraves and associated joinery. Undertaking first and second fix carpentry. Completing minor multi-trade works where required. Working within occupied and void social housing properties. Conducting pre-start risk assessments and adhering to health and safety procedures. Using handheld technology to manage and complete work orders. Delivering a high standard of customer service whilst maintaining quality workmanship at all times. Requirements To be considered, you will ideally have: NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent. Experience carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance.
