IT Support Engineer - Immediate Start - Short-Term Contract - Stoke-on-TrentVIQU have partnered with an organisation providing IT services to schools cross the UK, who require an onsite IT Support Engineer to provide short-term cover for a school based in Stoke-on-Trent.As IT Support Engineer, you will support a busy school environment, acting as the sole day-to-day IT presence while being backed by an external MSP. The focus is hands-on desk-side support, classroom technology, and ensuring teaching staff and students can operate without disruption.Role ResponsibilitiesAct as the sole onsite IT Support Engineer, providing day-to-day support across the schoolDeliver desk-side and 2nd line support to staff and studentsSupport classroom technology and AV, including interactive screens and display connectivityProvide timely support to teaching staff to ensure lessons run smoothlyCarry out basic IT housekeeping, including device and server patchingKey Skills and Experience RequiredProven experience as an IT Support Engineer in a Windows-based environmentStrong desk-side / 2nd line support experience:End-user devices (Windows laptops/desktops)Active DirectoryIntuneClassroom and AV technologyM365, Exchange, Teams supportComfortable working independently as the sole onsite engineerGood working knowledge of networking fundamentals (Aruba Wi-Fi, switches)Experience working in schools or educational environments is highly desirableAbility to communicate clearly with non-technical ..... full job details .....
