IT Infrastructure Manager • South London (with travel across Trust sites) • Full time • £51,200 to £54,350We are seeking a strategic and hands-on IT Infrastructure Manager to lead the development and delivery of robust, secure, and scalable IT systems across the Wandle Learning Trust. This is a pivotal role supporting ten schools initially, with scope to expand to up to 20 schools as the Trust grows. You’ll unify infrastructure across sites, drive innovation, and ensure operational excellence in line with audit and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Leading infrastructure centralisation and integration across Trust sitesManaging servers, storage, networks, and virtual environmentsOverseeing cybersecurity, backup, and disaster recovery strategiesAdministering user accounts, permissions, and access controlProviding technical support and training to staffManaging vendor relationships and procurementEnsuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding standards

Qualifications

At least 5 years’ advanced experience in IT architecture and securityStrong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and MIS platformsExperience with virtualisation (Hyper-V), networking (VLANs, WAN), and endpoint protectionExcellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skillsA proactive, service-focused mindset with the ability to lead and innovate

Wandle Learning Trust is a growing Multi Academy Trust based in South London, currently comprising two secondary schools and eight primary schools. The Trust also runs the Wandle Learning Partnership, which oversees our English, Maths and Teaching DfE Hubs, as well as our phonics programme, Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised.
