Vertical Recruitment are working closely with a highly successful global consultancy operating across the USA, Asia, Middle East and the UK, who have recently launched a new office in Manchester.
Their Manchester team is growing rapidly, with ambitious plans to expand to a 20 strong team. They have built a strong and diverse project portfolio, with a particular focus on high profile sports facilities including major UK stadium developments.
This is a globally recognised, award winning building services consultancy with over 15 years of expertise delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions. They work across a wide range of sectors including mixed use regeneration, residential, government, laboratory, hotel and large scale sporting venues.
Current projects include major UK stadium upgrades, large entertainment venue refurbishments and collaborations on international sporting infrastructure.
The Role - As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of mechanical building services across a variety of projects. You will work closely with senior engineers and leadership, contributing to technical delivery while continuing to develop your own expertise.

Main Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical building services designs across a range of sectors, supporting projects from concept through to completion
- Assist in the coordination of design work alongside multidisciplinary teams
- Produce calculations, reports and technical drawings to a high standard
- Work closely with clients, architects and other stakeholders to develop integrated design solutions
- Attend project meetings and site visits, providing technical support where required
- Support senior engineers in project planning, delivery and quality assurance processes
- Contribute to design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Experience in mechanical building services design within a consultancy environment
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status or keen to progress professionally
- Understanding of design stages from concept through to construction
- Familiarity with BIM and coordinated design processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage within project teams
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and develop
