Transactional Finance Team Manager Location: Council Offices, LE67 3FJ Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 3+ Months Working Hours: Mon Fri, 09 00, 37 Hours per week Pay rate: £ 26.00 per hour Job Ref: (phone number removed) Responsibilities Lead the Council s finance function, managing the transactional finance team responsible for end-to-end processes, including Income and Banking, Debtors, Creditors, Procure to Pay, Suspense Accounts, and Reconciliation. Ensure efficient service provision that meets customer needs and key performance indicators, while complying with national legislation and council policies. Provide leadership and management within the transactional financial services team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Drive financial excellence by optimizing processes and contributing to the council''s strategic goals. Set and negotiate stretch targets, regularly reviewing performance to ensure efficient processes that support the finance service. Implement and oversee a robust financial management system with strong internal controls. Promote a culture of financial health and support value-for-money services, reporting on benchmark information and key cost drivers. Ensure all transactions align with month-end timetables and reporting requirements, maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
