OverviewProcurement Manager - SPACE/Satellites
— Key role to support the team across procurement of complex satellite communications systems within MOD environment. You will directly impact MOD capability, and in particular a family of communications satellites which provide strategic communication services to the UK and allies. Shape the future of the UK''s most valuable Space asset. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in shaping a new strategic capability from the ground up. We\''re looking for an experienced procurement professional to contribute to the procurement and development of a global, assured, resilient and robust strategic communications system. This activity supports the growing demand for a full spectrum of services from high data-rate intelligence systems to welfare amenities.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluation Support
Support in responding to any Clarification Questions and responses that are received from Bidders
Support on the final Preferred Bidder selection activity
Contract Award Preparation
Lead the development of performance outcomes and success metrics
Lead on Contract updates for preferred bidder, to ensure it is ready for contract signature
Contract Management
Leading on the Contract Change element of Contract Management activities
Support progress monitoring and reporting throughout full contract lifecycle
This is a senior role where you\''ll be empowered to drive procurement activity forwards, managing the ITN (Invitation to Negotiate) execution and subsequent Contract Award and Contract Management phases of the full contract lifecycle. Your work will directly impact national capability and security.
What we\''re looking for
A strategic thinker with experience in MOD procurement
Proven ability to influence stakeholders at the highest levels
Strong understanding of procurement strategy, policy, and implementation
Experience within Satellites, Defence, Government, or similarly complex regulated sectors is highly desirable

Key Skills
Knowledge of MoD organizational design, processes and procedures would be highly beneficial
Deep complex procurement knowledge and experience
MCIPS an advantage
You will need to be able to obtain DV Clearance for this role and have a minimum of SC Clearance in place already in order to minimise delays in deployment.
Location, Remuneration and Timeframe
London /Bristol Hybrid 2/3 days per week onsite
£500-£600, Inside ir35
