Role::Installation Engineer - Field Based

Location:-Glasgow, with travel required in Scotland and England

The Role

We are recruiting-for a reliable and practical Ducting & Mechanical Installation Engineer to join a growing engineering team.

This is a hands-on, field-based role involving the installation, set-up and commissioning of ducting, LEV systems and workshop machinery across a range of sites.

The role will suit someone who enjoys working practically, takes pride in doing a good job and is comfortable working away from home when required. Reliability, a good attitude and a willingness to learn are just as important as existing experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install spiral, steel, clipped and UPVC ducting for LEV systems
  • Carry out mechanical installation, machinery moves and equipment set-up
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of LEV systems and machinery
  • Follow drawings, instructions, RAMS and agreed installation methods
  • Work safely and professionally on site
  • Complete job sheets and other relevant paperwork accurately
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the correct parts, tools and materials are available
  • Identify any additional parts or requirements needed to complete works
  • Support servicing, maintenance and breakdown work when required
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment to a good standard
  • Develop your knowledge of LEV systems, ductwork and workshop machinery
  • Communicate any issues or additional work requirements to management

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Practical and confident working with tools and equipment
  • Comfortable working on different sites and in different environments
  • Willing to travel and work away from home when required
  • Keen to learn and develop their technical skills
  • Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Safety-conscious and takes pride in their work
  • Comfortable working independently once trained

Previous experience in ducting installation, mechanical installation, machinery moves, LEV or similar engineering environments would be highly advantageous.

However, we are also open to people with transferable mechanical or installation experience who have the right attitude and willingness to learn.

A full UK driving licence is required.

Location & Travel

This is a field based-role, with work primarily across the Central Belt of Scotland.

Working away from home is an important part of the role. There will be occasions where you will work away from Monday to Friday, with travel, accommodation and expenses provided.

The successful candidate thereforem needs to be comfortable with regular travel and working away when required.
