Role Profile

The VP Technology Resilience Governance Lead provides senior governance and programme oversight for TRR-related audit, regulatory and resilience-uplift activity.

The role establishes an integrated view of requirements, deliverables, accountable owners, dependencies, risks, evidence and closure status, while coordinating delivery across technology and resilience stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Own the integrated governance view for TRR-related PwC and FCA remediation requirements, including scope, owners, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and supporting evidence.
  • Establish and maintain traceability from source requirement through planned deliverable, accountable owner, approval, evidence and closure decision.
  • Provide constructive challenge over recovery-plan completeness, runbook standards, recovery sequencing, failover and failback controls, validation criteria, dependency management and plan ownership.
  • Govern the TRR recovery-testing framework, annual plan, risk-based prioritisation, severe-but-plausible scenario coverage, end-to-end validation and safe-execution controls.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engagement with Operational Resilience, BCM, Infrastructure, Applications, Cyber, Technology Risk, Third-Party Management, service owners and programme teams.
  • Chair or support delivery forums, ensure decisions and challenge are documented, and escalate material delivery risks, blockers or evidence gaps through the appropriate governance route.
  • Oversee the quality and completeness of evidence packs submitted for audit, assurance or regulatory milestone validation, without replacing independent review or accountable-owner approval.
  • Ensure lessons learned and root-cause analysis are translated into owned, dated and traceable actions, with themes reported to senior management.
  • Produce concise decision-focused management information on delivery status, vulnerabilities, overdue actions, test outcomes, evidence readiness and closure risks.

Skills & Experience:

  • Substantial experience in technology resilience, disaster recovery, IT service continuity, operational resilience or a related technology-risk discipline within a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrable leadership of audit or regulatory remediation, including requirement interpretation, governance, evidence traceability and closure management.
  • Strong understanding of recovery planning, technical runbooks, recovery sequencing, backup restoration, failover/failback, dependency mapping and recovery testing.
  • Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory matters into clear governance decisions and executive-level reporting.
  • Strong programme governance, stakeholder leadership, risk management, written communication and constructive-challenge skills.
  • Working knowledge of relevant operational-resilience and ICT-continuity expectations. Professional resilience, risk, audit or service-management qualifications are desirable.

Candidates will need to show evidence of the above in their CV in order to be considered.
