Your new company Currently working exclusively with one of London''s largest boroughs who are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support key cloud infrastructure projects within a local government environment. This role is designed to deliver targeted project work, enabling the permanent staff to maintain critical BAU services across the council''s digital estate. The role:Type: ContractDay Rate: 400 - 500 per day inside IR35Location: London (Hybrid) Length: Initial 6 months (strong chance of extension) Key Responsibilities within the role:Work alongside permanent IT staff to ensure BAU work is maintained without disruptionImplement scalable and secure Azure environments for services supporting residents and council departmentsContribute to automation and modernisation initiatives using PowerShell, ARM templates, Terraform etcSupport cloud migration efforts for legacy on-premise systemsAdhere to public sector governance, GDPR compliance, and security standardsWhat you''ll need to succeed The successful candidate will have the following:Proven experience deploying and managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure within the public sectorAbility to navigate the dynamics of supporting project delivery while protecting live council servicesFamiliarity with UK local government regulations, ITIL best practices, and relevant compliance frameworksExcellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-departmental stakeholdersCurrent or previous local government ..... full job details .....
