Income Housing Accounting OfficerAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Income Housing Accounting Officer to join our Housing Finance team within a Local Authority setting. This is a key role responsible for ensuring accurate financial management of housing income, supporting service delivery, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and reconcile housing income accounts, including rent, service charges, and other income streamsMonitor arrears and support income recovery processes in collaboration with housing teamsPrepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis for housing incomeEnsure accurate posting of transactions and maintain integrity of financial systemsSupport budget setting and year-end processesLiaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve discrepanciesEnsure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and audit requirementsAbout YouProven experience working within housing finance or income accounting, ideally within a Local Authority or social housing environmentStrong understanding of housing rents, service charges, and income management processesExperience using financial management systems and housing management systemsExcellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to work independently and manage competing ..... full job details .....
