Import Coordinator
Reporting to the Import Manager, you will be responsible for managing shipments and logistics processes from start to finish, while also supporting the wider team in delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service.Due to the location of our client, you will require access to your own vehicle and may be required to travel to European locations when necessary.This is a full-time office-based role working Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00.Key Responsibilities of Import Coordinator Manage inbound shipments (primarily sea freight, with some airfreight)Coordinate export shipments via sea freightHandle shipments end-to-end, from booking through to final deliveryOpen and manage jobs within the internal Cargowise systemProcess customs entries and supporting documentation (including Traces and Port Health)Monitor shipment progress and proactively manage delays/issuesCoordinate transport and ensure delivery requirements are met, including bonded cargoComplete job costings and invoicingMaintain accurate system updates, reporting, and file sign-off Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing a responsive and professional serviceLiaise with shipping lines, hauliers, agents, and internal teamsBuild strong, long-term relationships with customers and supply chain partners Support the growth of the freight forwarding function within the UK businessIdentify opportunities to offer additional services to existing customersContribute to improving processes, efficiencies, and service ..... full job details .....
