Import Coordinator (LCL)

Bradley David Associates is recruiting for an experienced Import Operator on behalf of a growing logistics and freight forwarding organisation based in Chelmsford.This role requires strong operational knowledge of House Bills of Lading, customs procedures, container management, and carrier liability, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, compliantly, and profitably.Responsibilities: Manage ocean import shipments under company-issued House Bills of Lading (HBLs)Verify Master Bills of Lading (MBLs) against shipment documentationCoordinate with shipping lines, overseas agents, co-loaders, and consolidation partnerCoordinate or submit UK import declarations via CDSMaintain accurate and audit-ready digital job filesRequirementsMinimum 2 years'' experience in ocean importsExperience handing LCL shipmentsExperience handling House Bills of Lading and consolidation shipmentsWorking knowledge of UK import customs procedures via CDSFamiliarity with international Incoterms and import documentationKnowledge of port community systems such as Destin8 or CNS ..... full job details .....
