We are looking for an Import Operations Co-ordinator to join our team in Slough/London.Job Role / Principle Accountabilities and TasksAn Import operations Co-Ordinator with experience in clearing perishable freight essentialResponsible for the coordination and management of import activities within an organization.Prepare documents and forms to move goods efficiently through import steps and proceduresReviews paperwork and documents to ensure shipping, handling, storage charges, and customs fees are billed correctly.Maintains a database that tracks merchandiseThis includes the development and implementation of import policies and proceduresManagement of Import/Export documentation and shipments.This role will be responsible to facilitate the accurate and timely movement of customer''s import shipments, FCL and LCL and air, from origin to destination in compliance with company standards and government agencies, such as FMC, CFR, IACSSP, and Customs and Border Protection.Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceHighly numerate and literateExcellent understanding of Import / Export procedures and principlesTargeting appropriate companies, monitoring sector activityExpanding existing businessAn understanding of the HMRC regime an advantageJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: up to £35,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:Performance bonusBenefits:Company pensionOn-site parkingSick paySchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Slough: reliably commute or plan to relocate ..... full job details .....
