ICT Digital Delivery Manager

Daily Rate: -500 per day
End Date: January 2027
Working Pattern: Full Time, 37 hours per Monday to Friday, Hybrid

Our client is seeking an experienced ICT Digital Delivery Manager to provide strategic direction and oversight for ICT services within the Strategic Alliance of Devon & Cornwall and Dorset Police. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic professional to leverage technology to improve performance and drive innovation in public services.
You will be directly managing small ICT teams that hold our Managed Service Provider and other suppliers to account for the delivery of their contract obligations with an emphasis on high availability, SLA performance, proactive risk management and value for money.
This includes:
- Hosting Services - 900 servers across 4 data-centres and Azure hosted services.
- Voice & Data Network Services - including 4 call centres providing critical 999 telephony systems
- Mobile Communications - supporting 6,500 mobile phones and 8,000 Airwave radios
- Technical Security - Cyber risk management and defence for a key public service provider
In addition to a broad technical knowledge and experience of managing ICT at this scale, contract management experience will be essential.
The role can largely be managed via remote working though attendance at our Exeter and Winfrith HQs would be essential initially and during key planned events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Digital Delivery area of the ICT Department.
- Supervise teams and direct reports to ensure high-quality service delivery and performance.
- Establish and monitor service level agreements, configuration management, and capacity planning processes.
- Evaluate service delivery methods and implement the most effective strategies for the Alliance''s IT infrastructure.
- Lead change management initiatives, ensuring adherence to ITIL Service Management best practises.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and inclusion, driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
- Interface with various stakeholders, including strategic boards and partners, to present key insights and proposals.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Computing, ICT, Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure, security, and service management.
- Proven project management experience, familiar with ITIL best practises and methodologies such as Prince2 or Agile.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in managing ICT teams and delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
