ICA Integration Lead

Do you have the skills to join a major civil engineering and infrastructure contractor as a Systems Integration Lead to deliver a significant programme of work across the Anglian Water region.
This is a key technical leadership role, taking responsibility for the delivery and governance of Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) and Systems Integration activities across a portfolio of water infrastructure projects.
You''ll work closely with project teams, designers, systems integrators, specialist suppliers and the end client, ensuring integrated control systems are designed, procured, tested and commissioned effectively.
The role
You''ll take the lead on systems integration across multiple projects, with responsibilities including:
·Leading ICA and Systems Integration activities throughout the project lifecycle
·Coordinating designers, systems integrators and specialist suppliers
·Overseeing the development, procurement, testing and commissioning of control systems
·Ensuring systems meet required technical, quality and safety standards
·Supporting project teams with technical queries and integration challenges
·Managing interfaces between electrical, mechanical, process and control systems
·Working closely with the client and wider project stakeholders
·Supporting commissioning, testing and handover activities
·Ensuring cyber security requirements are considered within operational technology environments
About you
I''m looking to speak with experienced Systems Integration, ICA, Controls or Automation professionals with a background in major infrastructure or regulated utilities.
Ideally, you''ll have:
·Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation or a related discipline
·At least five years'' experience within Systems Integration, ICA, Commissioning, Controls or a similar technical leadership role
·Strong knowledge of SCADA, telemetry, process control systems and industrial automation
·Experience with Profibus, Fieldbus and fibre optic communication systems
·Understanding of cyber security principles within operational technology environments
·Experience within water, utilities, infrastructure or industrial engineering
·Strong stakeholder and supplier management experience
·Good planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
·Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Previous experience within the water and wastewater sector would be particularly relevant, although candidates from other process-led infrastructure environments will also be considered.
