Overview
Senior HSQE Manager, Bedfordshire Based, £65,000 - £75,000 + Full Comprehensive Package. You will be working for a Main contractor specialising in Healthcare, Commercial, and specialist roofing projects, who are committed to delivering projects to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance. They are now seeking an experienced Senior HSQE Manager with a strong construction background to join our head office team in Bedfordshire. This senior role will be central in shaping, leading, and implementing their HSQE strategy across the business.Responsibilities
Lead and develop the company''s HSQE strategy, policies, and management systems.Oversee health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance across all projects.Carry out and report on audits, inspections, and site visits.Support project managers, site teams, and supply chain with practical HSQE guidance.Ensure compliance with UK legislation, CDM Regulations, and ISO standards.Review and approve RAMS, quality plans, and environmental management plans.Lead investigations into incidents, non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.Deliver training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.Act as the key point of contact for HSQE matters with clients, consultants, and enforcing bodies.Understanding Temporary Works, and the paperwork behind it.Writing Risk and Method StatementsConstruction Phase PlansCOSHH AssessmentsCarry out own Audits.Understand Quality Management Systems.Induction ProcessesAccident and Incident InvestigationsRequirements / Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in a health and safety capacity, ideally within the construction industry, ideally for a Main Contractor.Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.IT Proficient.NEBOSH, IOSH, NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification is preferred.Construction-relevant certification is desirable but not essential.Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant industry software.Full UK driving licenceOffice based - with weekly site visits.Chartered or working towards CMIOSH status preferred.Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001).Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.Additional Information
