HSE Manager

TSA Surveying are currently working in partnership with a renowned Facilities Management provider to employ an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Manager to operate within the Southeast region on their MoD estate. The region has an annual turnover of over -180 Million and employs around 250 staff and over 5000 Sub-Contractors.-

As HSE Manager, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement in safety culture and performance across the region. You will be a member of the Senior Management Team, leading HSE initiatives and ensuring the safe, compliant delivery of services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing strategic HSE plans and initiatives
• Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of 3 HSE Advisors
• Driving continuous improvement in HSE culture and performance
• Chairing strategic HSE meetings and producing high-level reports and analysis
• Leading and overseeing investigations into incidents and accidents
• Collaborating with senior stakeholders to embed HSE into project delivery
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality legislation

The successful candidate will bring:

• Proven experience in a senior HSE role within Defence, construction, or facilities management environments
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Demonstrable experience managing HSE in high-risk operational settings
• In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practice
• A proactive, strategic mindset with excellent stakeholder engagement skills

Essential Requirements

• Current BPSS/SC clearance (and the ability to obtain future DV Clearance)
• NEBOSH Level 6 (or equivalent)
• Experience working within a Defence environment (essential)
• Sole UK National status (required for clearance)
