Job DescriptionThe HR Systems and Process Director will oversee the HR technology infrastructure and ensure that all HR systems and processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals. This role requires a balance of team management, strategic thinking, and hands-on involvement in system issues and changes. The ideal candidate will leverage technology advancements, including AI, to enhance HR operations while maintaining attention to detail.

With a focus on developing the functionality of the People Systems, you will maximise automation from the system, coordinate integration activities to other systems, and ensure ongoing operational efficiencies. All activities should be managed through considered and documented processes. Reporting into the Executive Director, Reward and HR Operations, this is a unique opportunity to provide expert process and subject matter expertise in a fast-growing investor services organisation.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR technology strategies that support MUFG Investor Services’ overall business objectives. Stay abreast of the latest HR technology trends and innovations to ensure competitiveness.

Team Management: Lead and manage a team of HR systems professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

System Oversight: Oversee maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of HR systems. Ensure data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance HR operations. Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and reduce complexity.

Project Management: Lead HR system implementation and upgrade projects, ensuring on-time, in-scope, and on-budget delivery. Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to achieve goals.

Issue Resolution: Serve as primary contact for HR system issues, troubleshooting and implementing solutions to minimise disruption.

Collaboration and Coordination: Build strong relationships with internal technology, information security, and data privacy teams to ensure HR projects are supported and compliant.

Documentation: Maintain HR systems architecture and review role-based access controls regularly.

Vendor Onboarding/Renewals/Budgets: Manage HR system vendor review processes and annual renewals to align with budgeting guidelines.

Reporting and Analytics: Use data and reporting to demonstrate HR system efficiency and identify opportunities to improve HR processes.

Qualifications

Third-level qualification in IT/Computer Applications/Technology or Human Resources.

In-depth practical system architecture knowledge of HR systems with a proven track record of delivering HR system change projects, including integrations.

People management skills with ability to foster learning, mentoring, and knowledge transfer.

Excellent organizational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.

Analytical thinking and ability to interpret information.

In-depth HR process knowledge and change management experience.

Understanding of AI/Machine Learning concepts.

Nice To Have

Experience with Sage People, SmartRecruiters, Enboarder, Nintex.

Experience with multiple system integrations implementations.

Computational skills including Excel, Power BI, PowerTools.

Project/Process Management training (Six Sigma, Lean, Prince2, AgilePM).
