HR Manager (Employee Resourcing)

The British Academy, the UK''s national body for the humanities and social sciences, is seeking an experienced and motivated HR Manager (Employee Resourcing) to join our friendly and professional HR team. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this is a key role within a small HR function that supports approximately 180 employees across the Academy. You will take lead responsibility for employee resourcing services, ensuring the effective delivery of recruitment, onboarding, payroll, pensions, benefits and HR systems administration, while contributing to the development and implementation of the Academy''s People Strategy. You will manage and develop a small team comprising an HR Officer and HR Assistant, fostering a high-performing and customer-focused service. Working closely with managers and colleagues across the organisation, you will provide expert advice and guidance on recruitment, reward, benefits, visa sponsorship and related HR policies and procedures. The role also offers the opportunity to lead on the continued development of the Academy''s HR management information system, including the implementation of new functionality and employee self-service tools. In addition, you will support annual pay processes, working with external payroll and pension providers and providing analytical and administrative support for pay negotiations and the Remuneration Committee.
