HR Manager
Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with a respected Ayrshire-based organisation to recruit an experienced HR Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially focused HR professional to join a growing business in a standalone leadership role. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you''ll lead the people agenda across the organisation, providing both strategic direction and hands-on support across all areas of HR.
We''re looking for someone with a strong generalist background and significant experience handling complex employee relations matters, who is equally comfortable supporting day-to-day operations as they are driving longer-term people initiatives.
The Opportunity
As HR Manager, you''ll be the trusted HR lead for the business, partnering with managers and leaders to provide expert advice across the full employee lifecycle. You''ll play a key role in developing a positive workplace culture, improving people processes, and ensuring the organisation remains compliant and aligned with best practice.
This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact, influencing business decisions while remaining close to the operational side of HR.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR contact, providing expert guidance and support to managers across the business.
- Lead on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability cases.
- Coach and develop managers to strengthen leadership and people management capability.
- Support recruitment and onboarding activity, ensuring a positive candidate and employee experience.
- Drive employee engagement, retention and talent development initiatives.
- Review and enhance HR policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Keep up to date with employment legislation and implement changes where required.
- Support organisational change projects, including restructures, consultations and workforce planning activities.
- Produce and analyse HR data and management information to support decision-making.
- Partner with senior leadership to deliver people-focused solutions that support business objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you''ll bring:
- Proven experience in a senior HR Generalist or HR Manager position.
- Strong employee relations expertise, with experience managing complex cases through to conclusion.
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- The confidence to influence, challenge and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach combined with strategic thinking.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A commercially minded and solution-focused outlook.
- CIPD qualification, or equivalent experience, would be advantageous.
