HR Generalist (Temp - Potential Temp to Perm)

We''re looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join a busy HR team on an initial temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent.
This is a hands-on, generalist role with a strong focus on employee relations, talent management, and day-to-day HR operations. You''ll work closely with the HR lead, providing practical support across core HR processes while helping keep everything running smoothly.
Working hours
- 36.25 hours per week
- Flexible start between 7.00am - 10.00am and finish between 3.00pm - 6.00pm
- Ideally happy to work earlier hours initially (around 7-8am start) to support training and handover
- 45 minutes unpaid lunch per day
Key responsibilities
- Strong day-to-day focus on employee relations, including disciplinary and investigation support, accurate note-taking, sickness absence management and liaison with Occupational Health.
- Supporting end-to-end recruitment activity, including interview coordination, new starter paperwork and onboarding
- Preparing HR documentation, letters and records in line with policy and employment legislation
- Supporting managers with day-to-day HR queries and process guidance
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisor role
- Strong recruitment and onboarding experience
- Confidence supporting employee relations processes, including disciplinaries and investigations
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple priorities
- Approachable, professional and able to build effective working relationships at all levels
- Confident IT user with experience of HR systems and MS Office
