This contract role as HR Business Partner in Exeter offers £20.49 per hour for 37 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, over two months. The successful candidate provides practical, values-led support within a busy People team, managing employee relations casework and advising managers. Responsibilities include supporting recruitment, ensuring policy and employment law compliance, and collaborating with HR Business Partners on People Plans and improvement initiatives. Building strong relationships across all levels is essential, alongside assisting with HR reporting, workforce analysis, and related projects. Applicants should be experienced HR professionals ready to contribute immediately, with solid knowledge of employee relations and UK employment legislation.

We are recruiting for an Assistant HR Business Partner to join a busy People team on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who can provide practical, values-led HR support and hit the ground running.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day employee relations casework and provide advice to managers.
- Support recruitment and wider HR processes, ensuring compliance with policies and employment legislation.
- Work alongside HR Business Partners on People Plans and improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with managers and colleagues at all levels.
- Support HR reporting, data analysis and workforce initiatives.
About you:
- Strong HR and employment law knowledge.
- Proven employee relations experience.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Experience handling confidential information and HR data.
- Full UK driving licence.
