This role is for a hands-on Hotel Manager with a strong operational background in boutique or luxury hotels to lead the team at a character-filled townhouse in the heart of Richmond. You’ll empower your team to deliver the brand’s standards of sumptuous hospitality with an authentic neighbourhood sensibility at The Selwyn. This role reports to the Area General Manager.

Responsibilities

Oversee the smooth running of day-to-day hotel operations and manage ongoing profitability.

Guide and inspire a team of HODs to ensure revenue, guest satisfaction, and brand targets are met.

Manage budgets and control expenditure.

Recruit, train and manage hotel employees.

Ensure compliance with health, safety and licensing laws, and maintain property and amenities.

Continuously improve business operations through standard procedures, maximise revenue and monitor employee performance.

Strong Leadership:

Ability to motivate and inspire a team, fostering a positive work environment by leading from the front.

Exceptional Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with guests, employees and stakeholders.

Financial Acumen:

Solid understanding of budget management and the ability to drive revenue while controlling costs.

Dedication to ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and experience.

Innovative and Detail Oriented:

Proactive in seeking opportunities to improve service delivery and maximise revenue, with attention to property maintenance, health and safety and compliance.
