Full Time Position

Avon Search is currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Home Manager to join a privately owned residential care home in Morecambe.

The home provides a warm and friendly environment for up to 24 residents, specialising in residential care for older people, including those living with dementia.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional to take the lead at a smaller, established service where you can make a genuine difference to residents, their families and the wider care team.

The home provides residential and dementia care within a warm, welcoming and homely environment.

With capacity for up to 24 residents, the service offers a more personal approach to care, with a strong focus on getting to know residents as individuals and supporting their independence, dignity and wellbeing.

As a privately owned care home, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the ownership team and play an important role in the continued development and success of the service.

The Role

As Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance and team performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and developing the care team
• Ensuring consistently high standards of person-centred care
• Overseeing care planning, audits and quality assurance
• Maintaining compliance with CQC and regulatory requirements
• Managing staffing, recruitment and rotas
• Supporting and developing a positive team culture
• Building strong relationships with residents and their families
• Ensuring the home remains a safe, welcoming and well-run environment
• Supporting the continued development of the service

About You

• Proven experience as a Home Manager or Deputy Manager within elderly care
• Experience working within residential care settings
• Strong understanding of dementia care
• Good knowledge of CQC and regulatory requirements
• Confident and compassionate leadership style
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a care team
• Strong commitment to residents'' dignity, wellbeing and independence
