Hire Desk Controller

Location: Kilsyth
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
Contract: Temp-to-Perm (TTP)

Are you an organised and customer-focused professional with experience in plant or tool hire? We’re looking for a Hire Desk Controller to join a busy depot in Kilsyth, providing first-class service and support to clients and internal teams.


Key Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound hire enquiries via phone and email
• Process hire orders and maintain accurate system records
• Liaise with the yard, drivers, and workshop teams to ensure efficient dispatch and returns
• Manage hire schedules and availability
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve queries promptly

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a hire desk or plant/tool hire environment
• Strong IT and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a proactive approach
• Knowledge of hire management systems is an advantage
