We''re looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our streetlighting team based in Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham. Location: Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham, B7 5HR Hours: Permanent, full time, 45 hours per week Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 depending on experience and qualifications We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. What will you be responsible for? As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you''ll be working within the streetlighting team, supporting them in delivering high-quality infrastructure maintenance. Your day to day will include: • Undertaking excavations in various materials within footpaths, including track work and joint holes • Assisting with backfill and reinstatement of excavations to meet quality standards • Completing documentation to comply with health and safety and NERS requirements • Supporting the team in various tasks, such as serving as safety assistant for live LV cable jointers • Driving works vehicles and adhering to HSG47 safety protocols What are we looking for?
