A welcoming junior school in High Wycombeandnbsp;is seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team in January 2026. The successful candidate will support class teachers, lead small groups, and deliver whole-class sessions when required.
About the Role:
- Plan and deliver engaging learning activities to small groups and whole classes
- Support pupils across a range of abilities, including those with SEN and EAL needs
- Deliver focused interventions in literacy and numeracy to boost pupil progress
- Assist with the assessment of learning and contribute to tracking pupil progress
- Provide pastoral support and promote positive behaviour and wellbeing
The ideal candidate will:
- HLTA qualification or substantial school-based experience in a similar role
- Solid understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and classroom expectations
- Confident in leading whole-class learning and working independently when required
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
