HGV Workshop Controller Bristol -Attractive salary and package Our client is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a HGV fleet workshop, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance and repair of vehicles. The Workshop Controller will oversee a team of HGV technicians and support staff, drive performance standards, and ensure vehicles are maintained to meet operational and legal requirements. Candidate Requirements: Proven experience in managing a busy HGV workshop or similar fleet maintenance environment. Strong technical knowledge of HGVs, diagnostics, and repair procedures. Understanding of DVSA regulations, Operator Licence compliance, and fleet safety standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. IT literate with experience using fleet management or workshop systems (e.g. Tranman, AssetWorks, FleetWave). Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, IRTEC, CPC (desirable). Experience working in a local authority or municipal fleet environment (desirable). Knowledge of sustainability practices in fleet operations such as alternative fuels, emissions reduction (desirable). This is a full-time, permanent role working 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri.
