HGV Technician 4 on/off

Role Overview: HGV Technician Shift Pattern: 4-on, 4-off (12-hour shifts) Salary Breakdown: Days: 43,000 Split Shift (Days and Nights): 48,000 Nights: 51,000 Key Responsibilities (HOVIS Vehicle Services Specification) Servicing and Maintenance:Perform routine servicing, safety inspections, and preventative maintenance across the fleet (e.g., 16T DAF, 7.2T Iveco Daily, and larger distribution units). Diagnostics:Perform mechanical and electrical fault-finding using commercial diagnostic tools (e.g., Texa systems). MOT and Safety Inspections: Prepare commercial vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards for MOT testing. Ancillary Maintenance:Inspect, service, and repair tail lifts, shutter doors, and bodywork components. Compliance and Records:Ensure all vehicle defect reports, job cards, and maintenance logs meet strict road safety and DVSA compliance standards. Candidate Requirements Essential: NVQ Level 3 (or City and Guilds / equivalent qualification) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. Preferred (Not Essential):Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) driving licence. Skills and Experience: Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities on commercial vehicles.
