About the Role
Pertemps Crewe seeks HGV Drivers (Class 1 / CE / LGV 1) for a client based in Crewe, with immediate starts on an ongoing temporary basis. This role involves operating a double-decker boxed vehicle to deliver chilled goods, typically completing a maximum of five drops per shift without handball. Shifts span 12 to 15 hours, with occasional night outs compensated by a £25 allowance. Full-time and part-time positions are available across a 24/7 operation, including days, nights, and weekends, with block bookings offered. Pay ranges from £17 to £22.41 per hour. Applicants need a CE licence with one year’s experience, a full UK driving licence, no more than six points, and valid Digi and CPC cards.
HGV / Class 1 Drivers
Pertemps Crewe are currently looking for HGV / Class 1 / CE / LGV 1 Drivers to work out of our client in Crewe on an ongoing basis with an immediate start.
For this HGV / Class 1 / LGV 1 / C+E Driver role, you will be responsible for:
- Driving a double decker boxed vehicle
- Delivery of chilled goods
- Duties are between 12-15hrs
- No handball is involved
- Maximum 5 drops
- Occasional night out with £25 allowance
- CE Licence with at least 1 years’ experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- No more than 6 points
- Digi and CPC Card
- 24/7 operation – AM & PM shifts available
- Day/Nights/Nights Out/Weekends available
- Block bookings available
- Pay rates:
Nights £18PH PAYE, £20.17PH PAYE via Umbrella
Saturday £19PH PAYE, £21.29PH PAYE via Umbrella
Sunday £20PH PAYE, £22.41PH PAYE via Umbrella
