About the Role
Pertemps Stoke on Trent seeks HGV Class 1 Drivers for a client site in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This temporary role covers full-time or part-time hours, with shifts available across mornings, afternoons, or nights (06:00–10:00, 14:00, 16:00, or 22:00 starts) on rota patterns spanning Tuesday to Saturday, Thursday to Monday, or Sunday to Thursday. Duties involve operating a double-decker vehicle for nationwide distribution centre deliveries, completing up to three trailer swaps, with no handball required. Pay ranges from £18.52 to £29.49 hourly. Candidates need CE entitlement, a Digi Card, CPC qualification, under six penalty points, and two years of HGV licensing history. Flexibility across start times is essential.
HGV Class 1 Drivers
Our prestigious client is looking for HGV / LGV 1 / C+E / Class 1 Drivers to work at their site in Newcastle Under Lyme.
For this HGV role, you will be responsible for:
- Driving a double decker heavy goods vehicle carrying out nationwide DC deliveries.
- Carrying out up to 3 trailer swaps.
- No handball is involved in this role.
To be considered for this HGV / LGV 1 / C+E / Class 1 Driver role you will need:
- CE Entitlement.
- Digi Card & CPC.
- No more than 6 points.
- Need to have held HGV Licence for 2 years
- AM Shifts - flexibility required to work between 06:00 and 10:00
- PM Shifts – 1400, 1600, 2200
- Days of work – Tuesday to Saturday, Thursday to Monday OR Sunday to Thursday
- The pay rate for this role is from £18.52PH - £29.49PH
- This company offers ongoing regular weekend HGV/Class 1 work through to January
