About the Role

Pertemps Stoke on Trent seeks HGV Class 2 Driver for ongoing full-time work at a busy depot. Based in Stoke-on-Trent, the successful candidate delivers fresh, ambient and frozen goods to stores throughout the Midlands and northern England, completing roughly six to eight drops per shift using cages and tail lifts. Shifts run ten to thirteen hours, with regular patterns available. Pay ranges from £17.89 hourly for days, £19.98 nights, £20.05 weekends, rising to £27.46 overtime after 48 hours; holiday entitlement accrues separately. Applicants need a valid HGV Class 2 licence, solid driving record, reliability and good timekeeping. This temporary position suits experienced drivers seeking consistent earnings and steady routes.

Pertemps are currently recruiting Class 2 Drivers to join the team at one of their busy Stoke-on-Trent depots, delivering food and grocery products to stores across the Midlands and North of England.

Pay Rates for this Class 2 / HGV 2 / LGV 2:
Days: £17.89 per hour
Nights: £19.98 per hour
Weekends: £20.05 per hour
Overtime after 48 hours: Up to £27.46 per hour

For this Class 2 / HGV 2 / LGV 2 Role, you will be responsible for:
You will be delivering fresh, ambient and frozen food products to stores.

Deliveries made using cages
Tail lifts provided for easy unloading
Around 6–8 drops per shift, depending on the route and load
Typical shifts are 10–13 hours
Various start times and shift patterns available
Monday to Saturday working
Full induction and training provided

For this Class 2 / HGV 2 / LGV 2 Role, you will need:

Valid HGV Class 2 (C) licence
Valid Driver CPC
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Minimum 6 months' recent HGV driving experience
Maximum 6 points – minor offences only
Reliable and flexible approach to work
Good customer service skills
