Health and Safety Advisor Location: Scottish Borders Salary: Competitive salary + package Health and Safety Advisor Scotland An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join a well-established and growing civil engineering and construction business delivering major projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor who wants to work in a hands-on position, supporting operational teams across a varied portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. As Health and Safety Advisor, you will work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and senior management to promote a positive health and safety culture and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with current legislation. The Health and Safety Advisor role will include: Providing professional health and safety advice to site teams and management. Carrying out regular site inspections, audits and safety tours. Supporting the development and implementation of RAMS. Reviewing risk assessments, method statements and relevant documentation. Assisting with incident, accident and near-miss investigations. Monitoring compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures. Supporting site teams with toolbox talks, briefings and training. Identifying areas for improvement and implementing practical corrective actions. Working closely with Project and Site Managers to ensure safe systems of work are maintained.
