Health & Safety Officer | Salary circa -42,500+ | 6.8% Employer Pension | 33 Days Holiday

A Health & Safety Officer opportunity has become available within an established engineering and manufacturing business in Redditch. The company is seeking an organised, proactive individual to support environmental, health and safety compliance, coordinate training and contribute to site improvement projects.

Reporting to the EHS Manager, this fully site-based position offers a salary circa -42,500+, a generous employer pension contribution, 33 days'' annual leave and a comprehensive benefits package.

Health & Safety Officer responsibilities include -

• Coordinate safety training, site inductions and material handling equipment training.
• Carry out site inspections and internal audits, identifying issues and tracking actions.
• Maintain EHS performance data, compliance records and controlled documentation.
• Support accident and near-miss investigations, helping establish causes and prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate COSHH controls, PPE, contractor compliance and occupational health surveillance.
• Help deliver safety and environmental improvements, from planning and quotations through to implementation.

Health & Safety Officer desirable skills and experience -

• Previous experience within a health and safety role in a manufacturing enviroment.
  
• Part or full NEBOSH qualification, or currently working towards one.
  
• Knowledge of manufacturing environments, processes and associated health and safety requirements.
  
• Experience coordinating or leading improvement projects.
  
• Strong organisation, communication and administration skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
