Head of Tax

Overview

Our client is a dynamic, rapidly growing PE-backed company based in Burton on Trent. With an expanding portfolio and a robust financial strategy, the business is looking to appoint a Head of Tax to lead and optimise the Group’s tax agenda.As part of the senior finance leadership team, the Head of Tax will own the Group’s tax strategy, compliance and risk management, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth plans. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced tax leader to shape and drive the function in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Key responsibilities

Own and deliver the Group’s overall tax strategy, reporting directly into the CFO.Lead on all aspects of corporation tax compliance, reporting and planning.Oversee indirect taxes (including VAT and other local taxes), ensuring robust compliance and efficiency.Provide strategic tax advice on structuring, MandA activity and business transactions.Build and maintain strong relationships with external advisors, auditors and HMRC.Key requirements

ACA/CTA/ATT qualified (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.Proven track record in a senior tax role, ideally covering both direct and indirect taxes.Strong technical expertise with commercial acumen.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at senior stakeholder level.What’s on offer
