Interim Head of Service - Fleet and Passenger Transport Location: Hybrid Working (Minimum 3 Days Per Week On Site) Contract: Interim Assignment Duration: 3-6 Months Initially Rate: Circa £550 per day DOE Hours: Full Time (5 Days Per Week Preferred) We are recruiting for an experienced Interim Head of Service - Fleet and Passenger Transport to provide leadership across two key operational service areas during a period of transition and transformation. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity requiring an individual who can quickly establish credibility, provide stability and drive service improvement whilst maintaining excellent operational delivery. The Role You will lead Fleet Services and Passenger Transport functions, ensuring efficient, compliant and customer-focused services are delivered across both areas. Responsibilities will include: Strategic and operational leadership of Fleet Services and Passenger Transport. Oversight of fleet workshops, maintenance programmes, compliance and vehicle procurement. Ensuring effective delivery of passenger transport services, particularly home-to-school transport. Leading service reviews, transformation programmes and organisational change initiatives. Driving performance improvement and service modernisation. Managing budgets, contracts and operational performance. Building effective relationships with senior stakeholders, elected members and service providers.
