Head of Scrutiny and Assurance needed in North Wales Paying £30.93 per hr ref 378012 Full time hours on a temporary basis Key Responsibilities Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the Plan, ensuring delivery against agreed priorities. Provide strategic advice, analysis and performance information to support the client in holding them accountable. Develop and oversee scrutiny frameworks covering performance, criminal justice, equality, complaints and community safety. Lead the scrutiny, policy and assurance functions, ensuring robust governance and accountability arrangements. Manage and develop a team of Scrutiny Officers, Policy Officers and Analysts, ensuring effective performance and professional development. Produce high-quality reports, briefings and recommendations. Evaluate performance data, identify emerging risks and trends, and recommend corrective action where required. Lead organisational policy development, review and implementation to support priorities and statutory responsibilities. Work closely with senior leaders, partner agencies and elected representative support strategic objectives. Support organisational change and transformation projects, ensuring alignment with the vision and priorities.
