Head of Science / ASAP Start Available / Cheshire East District / Fixed-TermAcademics are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head of Science to join a secondary school in the Cheshire East area on an interim basis with an ASAP start available. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Science Teacher looking to take on a leadership role in a secondary school. The position is offered on a full-time, long-term supply basis, initially running until Christmas, with the potential to continue through to the end of the academic year depending on circumstances. The Role: Lead and manage the Science department across Key Stages 3 and 4 Support and develop high-quality teaching in the departmentDevelop and implement effective schemes of work and curriculum plansDeliver engaging, challenging and innovating Science lessonsPlan, assess and monitor student progress to maintain high standardsProvide effective leadership and support to colleagues within the departmentRequirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Secondary ScienceRecent experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4Previous experience of leading a Science department or holding a suitable middle/senior leadership positionStrong communication and behaviour management skillsA commitment to delivering outstanding teaching A positive, adaptable and professional approachWhy Work with Academics?Competitive daily rates of 285- 350 (depending on experience)Weekly PAYE pay - no umbrella company deductionsDedicated ..... full job details .....
