Head of Sales and Training

WasteRecruit has been retained by a regional resource management company to support the recruitment of a passionate and driven Head of Sales and Training to lead, inspire, and grow the sales and customer-facing teams. This high-impact role is key to achieving our ambitious growth targets and ensuring our people have the tools and support to deliver exceptional results. As Head of Sales and Training, you will manage Customer Service, Account Management, and Field Sales teams, while also directly handling a portfolio of national accounts. You ll combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership to improve performance, develop talent, and build strong customer relationships across the UK. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow company revenue • Lead and support tender and contract proposal processes • Build new business through networking and stakeholder engagement • Manage key performance metrics across ticket and phone systems • Personally own and grow national account sales • Conduct regular client visits and introductions with new accounts • Motivate, coach, and train the sales team through workshops and 1:1s • Identify training needs and implement ongoing development plans • Drive team efficiency to maximise revenue and output • Collaborate across departments to ensure top-tier customer service • Report regularly on pipeline and sales performance • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead • Improve customer experience ..... full job details .....
