Head of Production

A competent Head of Production will take responsibility for all production and manufacturing operations for a new department within an established award-winning High Technology company; overseeing production planning, supply chain coordination, quality performance and continuous improvement initiatives. Applications for this Head of Production will bring proven experience of running a manufacturing environment with highly configurable products; a strong understanding of production planning, purchasing and supply chain operations, extensive experience of working with ERP/MRP systems as well as knowledge of quality systems and compliance.Previous experience of working within a high-technology manufacturing environment is highly beneficial with a focus on Electronics, Defence and/or Aerospace environments.Applications for this Head of Production are sought from those with the following experience:An Engineering or relevant technical degree qualification.Proven experience running a manufacturing environment within High-Technology, Electronics, Defence or Aerospace environment.Good understanding of supply chain operations, purchasing and production planning.Proven knowledge of quality systems, compliance and manufacturing best practices.Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing KPIs.Experience managing operation performance and continuous improvement initiatives.This a key leadership role where the successful Head of Production will deliver operational excellence ..... full job details .....
