Interim Head of Revenues and Benefits Central Bedfordshire Council 550 per day Umbrella Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Revenues and Benefits to lead a high-performing service responsible for Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefits, Local Council Tax Support and Corporate Fraud. This is a key leadership role with a strong focus on collection fund performance, service transformation, policy development and ensuring compliance across all Revenues and Benefits functions. You will act as the Council''s lead expert, providing strategic advice to senior leaders while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. We are looking for someone with: A proven track record of working at a senior level within a Revenues and Benefits service. Strong knowledge of Council Tax, Business Rates, Benefits and associated legislation. Experience leading service improvement and transformation programmes. A solid understanding of how digital solutions can enhance service delivery and customer outcomes. Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills. The resilience and drive to deliver results in a fast-paced local government environment.
