Head of Production

We are seeking an experienced and highly pragmatic individual to join our team as the Head of Production. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. As a key person within our leadership team, the Head of Production will play a crucial role in driving the company''s success and growth, whilst also not being afraid to take a hands-on role in shaping our operations.

OverviewHead of Production to oversee all production activities, ensure targets are met, maintain quality and safety standards, and lead continuous improvement initiatives within the production team.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the production team, including supervisors, managers and other staff.

Ensure the efficient use of resources, meeting production targets, whilst maintaining quality standards.

Identify and implement improvements to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.

Foster a culture of employee engagement, continuous improvement and excellence within the production team.

Implement and ensure adherence to quality control measures to uphold our food to go product standards.

Work closely with the Head of Technical and quality team to address and resolve any issues affecting production quality.

Play a leading role in recruiting, training and mentoring production staff to enhance skills and performance.

Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement.

Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head of Production or similar role in food manufacturing.

Strong leadership and managerial skills with a track record of achieving production targets.

In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control, and health and safety standards.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Focused on employee engagement to drive improvements in quality and production standards.
