Our client, a well-established leader in marine equipment design and manufacturing, is seeking a Head of Planning and Subcontract Manufacturing to join their dynamic team. This permanent role involves overseeing the planning, supply chain management, and subcontract manufacturing processes, ensuring the seamless delivery of products to customers.Primary Job PurposeEnsure all customer product orders are delivered On-Time-In-Full (OTIF)Plan the workload, materials, and equipment/tooling for all build demandsRaise external requirements to subcontractors and suppliers and liaise with them to achieve OTIF deliveryCoordinate with Sales and Programme Management to align and communicate Production Plans across the businessCollaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering to ensure materials plans are in placeNegotiate with suppliers and manage expectationsKey ResponsibilitiesInterpret ERP/MRP requirements and review order recommendations to drive orders placementWork closely with Supply Chain to ensure timely raising of purchase requisitions and on-time materials deliveryMonitor job status and performance with production and procurement teams, driving mitigations and liaising with suppliers to address issues promptlyProvide regular project updates, stock and order information, and highlight opportunities for improvementCoordinate with Engineering teams to ensure system compliance with change notices and current build statusSupport Finance in end-of-month cycle counting, WIP reporting, ..... full job details .....
