Interim Legal Services Manager Hourly Rate: £57.86 via umbrella Location: Barnsley Job Type: Contract (2-3 months initial term) We are seeking an Interim Legal Services Manager to provide essential cover during a period of sick leave. This role is crucial for maintaining the continuity and resilience of our legal services team within a local government setting. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in local government legal services and senior management. Day-to-day of the role: Provide leadership and development to a diverse team handling various legal aspects including Property, Procurement and Contracts, Litigation, Adult Social Care, and Children''s Social Care. Manage additional responsibilities such as Information Governance, Data Protection, Subject Access Requests (SARs), and Corporate Complaints. Ensure effective team operations and legal service delivery across the organisation. Work closely with the organisation''s Practice Manager, overseeing their activities and ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals. Working Pattern: 3-4 days per week (full-time hours may be considered for additional resilience). Office attendance is required for 1-2 days per week for part-time staff and 3 days per week for full-time staff.
