Head of IT

Your new company Hays are supporting a public sector organisation based in Bristol to recruit a Head of IT on an 18/24-month Fixed Term Contract. The role is hybrid, working 3 days per week in South Bristol and offers a salary between £65,000 - £75,000. This is an exciting IT leadership role as this organisation undergo their IT modernisation and innovation programme. Your new role andamp; what you''ll need to succeedIn the role, you will lead the small internal IT team, shape and deliver IT strategy, develop a clear roadmap and ensure secure, reliable and resilient internal IT infrastructure. You''ll work with senior stakeholders across the organisation and manage relationships with external suppliers and 3rd parties. To be considered for this role, you will need to be an experienced IT leader with exposure across IT modernisation, ITIL service improvement and digital transformation. You''ll need experience in public sector environments, preferably NHS. You''ll need to be used to managing a small internal team and working in Legacy IT environments looking to modernise and improve services. You''ll need excellent stakeholder management skills at various levels and will need to be able to translate technical to non-technical stakeholders.
