Robert Half are exclusively partnering with a leading independent school in the South West to appoint an experienced Head of Finance (maternity cover).Salary: Up to £75,000 per annumFull-time, fixed-term (approx. 12 months from April/May 2026)Excellent benefits and supportive working environmentGood hybrid working pattern available for the right candidateLocation: SomersetReporting to the Finance Director and sitting on the Senior Management Team, this is a key leadership role responsible for delivering financial strategy and ensuring long-term sustainability.Key responsibilities will include:Leading financial strategy, planning and analysis to support senior leadership and governorsOverseeing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and management reportingManaging year-end accounts, audit, statutory compliance and VATLeading and developing the finance teamDriving financial modelling, capital planning and risk managementManaging stakeholder relationships, including fees, bursaries and external partnersCandidate profile:Ideally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), may consider QBE if suitable experience.Strong senior-level finance leadership experience in a complex organisationExpertise in financial planning, reporting, controls and complianceCommercially astute with excellent analytical and communication skillsCollaborative leader with high levels of discretion and integrityExperience within education or the charity sector is advantageous but not essential.For more ..... full job details .....
